Hijab Ban: स्कूल की यूनिफॉर्म के साथ सिर पर हिजाब या स्कार्फ पहनना अब अजरबैजान में विवाद की वजह बन गया है। देश में सरकारी स्कूलों के ड्रेस कोड में बदलाव के बाद धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता और शिक्षा के अधिकार को लेकर सवाल उठ रहे हैं। रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, नए नियमों के चलते हेडस्कार्फ पहनने वाली कुछ छात्राओं को स्कूल में प्रवेश नहीं मिल रहा है, जबकि महिला शिक्षकों के स्कार्फ पहनने पर भी सवाल खड़े हुए हैं। हालांकि, सरकार ने हिजाब पर नाम लेकर स्पष्ट प्रतिबंध लगाने की घोषणा नहीं की है।

अजरबैजान में स्कूल यूनिफॉर्म के नियमों में क्या बदला?

दी गई जानकारी के अनुसार, 21 सितंबर 2026 को अजरबैजान के कैबिनेट ऑफ मिनिस्टर्स के प्रस्ताव के जरिए सरकारी सामान्य शिक्षा संस्थानों के ड्रेस कोड में बदलाव किया गया। इसके तहत ऐसी पोशाक और एक्सेसरीज पर रोक का प्रावधान है, जिन्हें धर्मनिरपेक्ष शिक्षा के सिद्धांतों या निर्धारित यूनिफॉर्म के डिजाइन के विपरीत माना जाता है। इसी वजह से नियमों को धार्मिक हेडस्कार्फ पहनने वाले छात्रों और शिक्षकों से जोड़कर देखा जा रहा है।

महिला टीचर्स के स्कार्फ पर भी उठे सवाल

विवाद केवल छात्राओं तक सीमित नहीं है। 6 अक्टूबर को शिक्षकों के पहनावे को लेकर भी अलग नियम जारी किए गए। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के अनुसार, कुछ महिला शिक्षकों ने शिकायत की कि उन्हें स्कूल में हिजाब हटाने या नौकरी छोड़ने के लिए कहा गया। इस मामले में सरकार की ओर से हिजाब पर स्पष्ट प्रतिबंध की घोषणा नहीं हुई है।

Young girls in Azerbaijan are being turned away from school for wearing hijab, and they’re fighting back.

On September 21, Azerbaijan’s Cabinet amended school uniform rules to bar clothing conflicting with the “principle of secularism” in education, effectively targeting the hijab without naming it.

Since early October, schools have been turning away hijab-wearing students and teachers from classrooms.

One young girl’s plea:

I am a child. I want to study! I have that right too — but they are not letting me study!

A teacher was filmed holding back tears while comforting a student forced to choose between her faith and her education:

You have to take it off as though you are guilty? Don’t cry. We are with you. Everything will be alright.

Students who don’t wear hijab have joined the protests in solidarity.

“Nobody accepts it,” one said.

Teachers held lessons outdoors rather than enforce the ban, and defiant students declared:

If they throw us out through the door, we will come back through the window.

Police have arrested 37 people, and Instagram and TikTok have been disrupted as the protests spread across the country.
